Vinyl Makes A Retail Comeback
Its funny how we were planning to release a 10" record last night and today in class we talk about the reemergence of vinyl records in the US. Our teacher brought up alotta good points like how people are getting disconnected with things through the digital world like MP3s and digital files in music. For me, vinyl is a totally different medium from CDs and MP3s as far as listening and sound quality. you cant get the same feeling from a CD as you get from listening to a record play. Its like you hear the needle go through the grooves and what you get is a continuous analog-type sound of the recording. people are more connected with the music when they have a record rather than a mp3 or whatever.. cause its a physical item that you can see artists really put work into.
